Eat only a light meal before the biopsy.  You have to lay flat for about 20 to 30 minutes.  After the biopsy please apply an ice pack to the area and take some Tylenol if having significant pain. Usually, the pain will resolve in 4 to 5 hours and the bruising (IF ANY) will resolve in 2 to 3 days.
